Poulsen was a part of a death metal band before joining Volbeat. They celebrated by doing a tour in America. The Danish rock machine celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2021 together with their rock colleague's of Ghost. Vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, guitarist Rob Caggiano, drummer Jon Larsen and bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen form Volbeat.
